Since 1993, Le Lobe’s main focus has been to support the production and dissemination of contemporary art projects, carried out during residencies.

Le Lobe is run by both experienced artists and emerging artists, lending a particular know-how and sensibility to the needs of artists who come here to create. Located in the Ateliers d’artistes TouTTouT building, Le Lobe benefits from its collaboration with sixteen resident multidisciplinary artists, fostering exchange and closeness.

From its foundation, the center’s mission has been to be attentive to the needs of artists and their practice, to keep up with the different movements and advances in contemporary art, to remain vigilant and informed in order to satisfy a demanding, curious and passionate audience.

Artist residencies are conducive to concentration and, with research based on time spent living “in exile”, outside of the artist’s habitual production framework, they allow the undertaking and deepening of unique projects.
